06/03/26 - Chelsea, Honest Burgers & Love Island

I took it slow this Wednesday. It's been nice having this day off between my days of classes. I've been able to take advantage of some trips to new boroughs. Today was Chelsea.

Ava, Elena, Melody, and I headed out to Chelsea to go shopping at Brandy. We found these cute houses for photos, which we affectionately called the Notting Hill dupe.






Tried a Blank Street blueberry matcha: 8/10



We were hungry after all that shopping, so we took a flatmate trip to Honest Burgers for dinner. I got the "Honest Burger", which recently won Britain's Best Burger in 2026. I can see why. The rosemary chips were a fan favorite as well.


Had to stop at McDonald's to try the Biscoff McFlurry!

We wandered around after dinner and ended up at Buckingham Palace. I want to make it back to see the Changing of the Guard!



My flatmates ended the night with a Love Island watch party. I put my UFIT skills to good use by setting up a VPN on Kiera's computer so we could watch it. It was fun having all ten of us huddled around the couch for the season premiere.

5/18/26 - Aldi & A Show

We had a recovery day this Sunday. After sleeping in late, Zoey, Haleh, and I took a trip to Aldi to stock up on some cheap groceries. I got the basics including some of the most red bell peppers I've ever seen in my life. Also grabbed a box of muesli to try - safe to say I'm a fan. This evening, our cohort traveled to The Duchess Theatre to see The Play That Went Wrong . I'd rate it a 6/10. The comedy was much better in the second half. After wandering around Covent Garden, we headed in for the night to get ready for FDOC tomorrow! 5/20/26 - Chelsea in Bloom

Today's morning expedition was to the Chelsea in Bloom flower festival, and it was absolutely gorgeous.  Yes, I freaked out about the plants. The theme this year was "Out of This World," so the installations were all centered around space and astrology, featuring zodiac signs, tarot cards, planets, rocket ships and more. They even had succulents and air plants mixed into the displays. I couldn't help but wonder what they do with all the leftover plants...my flat could use some. :) For dinner, we went out for a curry! We chose a restaurant in Kensington called Chakra. It was a quaint little restaurant tucked off a cobblestone street near High Street Kensington station. The food was yummy, but we're also looking forward to trying Dishoom and some of the more famous places soon. Enjoy the photos! The holy grail. Murgh Malai Tikka at Charka. Love, Megan
